The Fernor walnut sapling produces fruits in clusters of 1-4. It forms an upright tree with a thin shell and elongated fruit shape. It blooms late and is easy to separate from the shell. It is suitable for consumption as a dry walnut. It is a crossbreed of Franguette and Lara, which produces fruits on lateral branches.
